Clark has built its CGC Series of Internal Combustion (IC) Cushion-tired forklifts with ergonomics, power, safety, durability and performance in mind. These lift trucks are designed for distribution, manufacturing and warehousing of all types and are well suited for the toughest applications.

Clark’s line of IC Cushion-tired lift trucks are built on a one-piece frame. A heavy duty, welded and formed steel plate, protects these forklifts from impact damage, extending the life of the machine.

Operator Comfort & Safety

A fully adjustable, full suspension seat, molded for operator support comes standard in all Clark CGC models. Operators are kept secure in the compartment with a non-cinching retractable seat belt.

All models include a tilt steering column that can be adjusted to the operator’s comfort, and allows for easier entry and exit of the cab. Cowl-mounted hydraulic controls are located and sized for operator ease of use, while a thick-molded floor mat reduces vibration and noise level to improve operator comfort. A hydraulic cushioning valve also reduces vibration as well as shock thanks to silent staging. Maximum visibility is achieved with a nested I-channel which allows space for cylinders, hoses and chains.

Performance

Clark’s CGC series of IC cushioned forklifts come with a field-proven 4.3 L V-6 GM LPG engine for smooth, quiet operation. An auto shut-down feature protects your lift truck investment in the event of excessive engine coolant, high transmission oil temperature or low engine oil pressure.

Clark wanted to ensure the CGC forklifts maximized operation uptime so the models were designed so that the system can be simply diagnosed. This is achieved by using automatic style malfunction light and fault codes. Plus, no tools are required to access the engine compartment. The seat deck rises for easy access to both sides of the engine. Most importantly, these forklifts are EPA compliant.

The transaxle on the CGC series forklifts is an integral axle & transmission so that there are no exposed seals or driveshafts to wear or collect debris. Modulated shift protection ensures smooth engagement and cushioned shifting. A common sump for the axle and transmission allows both to be cooled with the transmission’s cooling system. Travel speed when these forklifts are operating under high speed lifting is controlled with an inching valve. Hydraulic and transmission components are easily accessible on these lift trucks with a removable floorboard.

The Hydraulic system on these Clark lift trucks provide maximum horsepower and uses load sensing flow control to reduce heat build-up. A main hydraulic valve incorporates adjustable flow controls the tilt and auxiliary functions to achieve the optimum performance of attachments.

The sectional design on these forklifts allows for the easy addition of extra functions and simplifies service. An upright-mounted load lowering valve controls allows lowering regardless of the speed of the engine. An integral hydraulic sump with remote breather provides cooling to the hydraulics while headlights and optional worklights are controlled with push switches.
