Operator Comfort & Safety

A fully adjustable, full suspension seat, molded for operator support come with a non-cinching retractable seat belt on the Clark CQ series of lift trucks. All models include a tilt steering column that can be adjusted to the operator’s comfort, and allows for easier entry and exit of the cab. Cowl-mounted hydraulic controls are located and sized for operator ease of use, while a thick-molded floor mat reduces vibration and noise level to improve operator comfort. A hydraulic cushioning valve also reduces vibration as well as shock thanks to silent staging. Maximum visibility is achieved with a nested I-channel which allows space for cylinders, hoses and chains.

Or as an option, the Clark CQ forklifts can come with a different operator compartment that has a unique OHG design, to minimize vision obstruction of door pillars. This operator compartment includes 180 degree fold and lock doors, making it possible to recess the door within the truck frame when locked open.

Performance

The Hydraulic system on these Clark forklifts provide maximum horsepower and uses load sensing flow control to reduce heat build-up. A main hydraulic valve incorporates adjustable flow control on the tilt and auxiliary functions to achieve the optimum performance of attachments.

The sectional design on these forklifts allows for the easy addition of extra functions and simplifies service. An upright-mounted load lowering valve controls allows lowering regardless of the speed of the engine.

The transaxle on the CQ series of forklifts is an integral axle & transmission so that there are no exposed seals or driveshafts to wear or collect debris. Modulated shift protection ensures smooth engagement and cushioned shifting. A common sump for the axle and transmission allows both to be cooled with the transmission’s cooling system. Travel speed when these forklifts are operating under high speed lifting is controlled with an inching valve. Hydraulic and transmission components are easily accessible on these lift trucks with a removable floorboard.

Clark’s CQ series of IC Pneumatic lift trucks come with the choice of a high performance Hyundai Theta LPG engine or a 3.3 L Yanmar Diesel engine with a standard vertical exhaust. The Hyundai is a 4-cylinder, dual overhead cam engine that produce 70 HP and 140 ft-lbs of torque at 1600 RPM. The internal, self-lubricating chain-driven cams and automatic chain tensioners ensure a long life for these lift trucks and protect the engine from debris. The Yanmar engine is durable, easy to start and easy to service. It’s low emission indirect injection reduces the noise level. All Clark forklift models within the CQ family are EPA compliant.
