The Linde ETR is a tow tractor designed to provide maximum operator comfort and productivity. The ETR tow tractor features a large, fully-cushioned operator platform and comes equipped with soft-touch operator accelerator control twist grips and an adjustable steering column. The twist grips control travel direction and include an automatic return to neutral feature. Easy-to-use push button control switches activate the horn.

Performance

The ETR tow tractor includes 24 volts and is powered by a GE separately excited drive motor (SEM). A high performance motor, the GE SEM features class H insulation and is open ventilated for energy efficiency and cool operation. By using quality materials and matching the motor to the drive system, the ETR is a high performing, dependable, easy to control and energy efficient tow tractor.

Heavy-duty, bottom-mounted Kordel drive units feature a top seal turntable bearing with encapsulated ball bearings. These ball bearings can be lubricated easily from the top down. These high capacity drive units on the ETR tow tractor provide maximum lift and dependability because they were precision-machined using heat-treated chromium alloy steel gears

The ETR tow tractor comes standard with microprocessor-based GE transistor travel controls. Standard features of these GE transistor travel controls include two unique speed limits, anti-rollback and regenerative braking while eliminate such things as forward/reverse contactors, numerous relays, resistor and diodes. Fully programmable, the ETR’s electronic controls allow for specific application requires. They also feature diagnostic capabilities by using stored fault codes. Moisture and contaminants cannot interrupt the tow tractor’s operation in any environment thanks to sealed wiring harness connectors. Combined with the GE SEM drive motor, the ETR tow tractor’s electronic package delivers high levels of control, performance and energy efficiency.

Four braking methods provide smooth, controlled braking to the Linde ETR tow tractor. These methods include hand brakes, auto brakes and regenerative braking. The brakes are also applied when the operator steps off the rider platform. 

The frame of the ETR features a fixed platform height and all seam-welded unitized construction. Maximum durability and protection is provided to all vital components with plate steel contoured to shape for rigid strength. The battery compartment adds strength to the frame by being an integral part of the chassis. Then there is the thermoplastic, one-piece, lift-off motor compartment cover, which is resistant to rust and corrosion. This motor cover offers superior impact strength, durability, and lifelong proper fit.
